mdvdb operates entirely on your local machine. We do not receive, store, or process any data from your mdvdb sessions, files, indexes, embeddings, or search queries. All data stays on your device.

Embedding Providers

mdvdb can use a local embedding runtime or a cloud provider that you configure. When you choose a cloud provider, document content is sent directly from your machine to that provider for embedding generation. We have no involvement in or access to that exchange. Refer to your chosen provider's privacy policy for details.
